Kids Manicure and Pedicure in Westlake
A kids manicure in Westlake should feel like a treat, not a long wait in a loud salon. In our private suite, your child is the only client in the room, the tools are sterilized to medical grade, and the pace is set by them.

What a kids manicure and pedicure include
Our kids services are scaled-down versions of the adult menu, built for smaller hands, shorter attention spans and tender skin. A kid manicure covers trimming, shaping and a gentle cleanup around the nails. Kid hand polish adds a fun color. The kid pedicure includes a warm soak, shaping, a light tidy-up and polish on the toes.
Kids services use regular polish rather than long-wear gel. It's easy to take off at home with a gentle remover, there's no lamp curing, and it means kids can switch from purple to pink for the next birthday party without a salon visit.
Everything happens at a relaxed speed. If your child needs a minute to pick between two glitters, they get the minute.
Kids menu services are short on purpose. A child who's comfortable and having fun for a shorter visit will want to come back, while one who's been sitting too long will remember the fidgeting instead of the pretty nails. We'd rather finish early and happy.
Who kids nail services are for
Kids services are perfect for a first manicure, a birthday treat, a reward for a good report card, or getting ready for picture day, a dance recital or a family wedding. They're also a nice one-on-one outing for a parent and child, especially for little ones who feel overwhelmed in big, busy spaces.
Because we work with one client at a time, there's no crowd, no chemical-heavy acrylic smell drifting over from the next station, and no rush to turn the chair. For kids who are nervous about new places, that quiet makes a real difference.
Booking for a group of friends or a party? Our events page covers birthday parties and group visits.
It's also a gentle way to help nail biters. A fresh coat of a favorite color can give kids a reason to leave their nails alone, and regular trims keep jagged edges from becoming a habit. We won't lecture anyone, but we're happy to cheer on progress at each visit.
The Brazilian difference, made gentle for kids
Danielle grew up in Brazil, where having neat, cared-for nails is a normal part of growing up. The Brazilian method is known for clearing dry skin across the whole nail bed and painting slightly under the cuticle line, then cleaning the edges back with an orange-wood stick wrapped in cotton and dipped in remover.
For kids, we keep that precision but soften the approach. Cuticle work is light and only goes as far as is comfortable. No cutting into living skin, no pushing hard on little nails. What does carry over is the clean finish: polish that stays on the nail instead of the fingers, and edges cleaned up with cotton so little hands look neat in every photo.
Clean tools matter even more with kids. Every implement goes through medical-grade sterilization between clients, the same standard we use for adults. Parents are welcome to ask about our process at any point during the visit.

What happens at a kids manicure appointment
Here's what a typical kids visit looks like.
- Your child picks a color, or two, or a fun accent nail.
- Hands get washed and nails are trimmed to a safe, comfortable length.
- Edges are filed smooth so they don't snag on clothes.
- Skin around the nails is gently tidied with sterilized tools.
- For pedicures, feet soak in warm water before trimming and shaping.
- Polish goes on in thin coats, and any extra on the skin is cleaned off with cotton and remover.
- A few minutes to dry, a quick look in the light, and they're done.
Aftercare for kids nails
A few simple tips help kids polish last until the next play date.
If polish chips in the first day or two, let us know. Little hands are busy, and we'd rather help than have a child feel disappointed.
- Keep hands away from water and toys for the first little while so polish can set.
- Trim nails at home between visits to keep them short and clean.
- Use a gentle, kid-friendly remover when it's time for a color change.
- Remind kids not to pick or bite at polish; book a quick redo instead.
- Rub a little lotion or oil on dry cuticles at bedtime.
Kids manicure pricing
Kids pricing is simple. A kid manicure is $15, kid hand polish is $20, and a kid pedicure is $30. Many parents book their own service in the same visit, like a gel manicure from $43 or a Sober Pedicure for $45, so the outing doubles as a little self-care for the grown-up too. Please book each person separately on Booksy so we set aside enough time.
Planning a treat for more than one child? Siblings can be booked back to back so one finishes while the other picks a color. Just add each child's service separately so the schedule works for everyone.

How much is a kids manicure in Westlake?
A kid manicure is $15 at Brazilian Nails By Danielle. Kid hand polish is $20 and a kid pedicure is $30. Prices are listed on Booksy.
What age can a child get a manicure?
There's no single right age, and it really depends on whether your child can sit comfortably for a short service. Ask us about age guidance when you book and tell us a little about your child.
Do you use gel polish on kids?
Kids services use regular polish, which is easy to remove at home and needs no lamp curing. Kids can switch colors whenever they like. If you're wondering about gel for an older child, ask when you book.
Can a parent and child get their nails done together?
Yes. Many parents book their own manicure or pedicure in the same visit. Book each service on Booksy so the time is held for both of you.
Is a kids pedicure safe?
Yes. Every implement goes through medical-grade sterilization, and cuticle work on kids is kept light. We never cut living skin on little toes.
Can my child get nail art?
Yes, simple art like dots, glitter accents and tiny hearts is popular with kids. Mention it when booking so we can plan a few extra minutes.
Can I stay with my child during the appointment?
Yes, parents are welcome in the suite. Many kids feel more relaxed with a familiar face nearby.
Do you host kids birthday nail parties?
Yes, small groups and parties can be arranged through our events booking or mobile service. Reach out with your date and group size and we'll talk through options.
Should I book kids nails before a recital or photos?
Yes, book a day or two before so polish has time to fully set. Neutral pinks and clear coats work well for stage and photos.
How long does a kids manicure take?
A kids manicure is short and goes at your child's pace. Adding polish or a pedicure adds a bit more time. We'll give you an estimate when you book.
